Time to change the front brakes. I'm looking to stick with the OEM pads, but get the '10 part number for the '08 bike. The reason being that the pads are allegedly supposed to be more rotor friendly. Will put pics on for the install.

NB, will you let us know where you get the pads from and how much?
Off the top of my head I think its about £100 give or take to change all the pads. I had mine out last week just to check them over and they seem fine. I'll check them though before my trip just to be on the safe side. I'll definately need some new tyres by then as well.

Kwikasfuki

I reckon they'll come to around the £100 mark from Autorama in Bately. I reckon mine have got about 1000 miles left on them

just bought a set of theses s.b.s "street excell" pads from corby kawasaki. front and back for my zzr1400. been told by various bikers there a excellent pads. if you need the rear, asked him to put a set in the same package for you! think the rear where about £22.00

getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

If there not totally worn , still take them out . Clean them up , wire brush & real rough sand paper, even a big ol file , get rid of the shinny stuff on them. Same time do same to Disks.
You will be amazed at difference.
