I am an other under seat Man. Correct me if I am wrong (normally am) but dont you police check via national date base or sumit , that checks if insured etc. I have been told that over zealous SS ....sorry Traffic wardens can pick up on fact there is no tax displayed. Do they report you?
I did scan a tax disc once & displayed that one instead , but guess that might be illegal ? But I am actually at an age now where I have gone past caring......

I think that Traffic Wardens can only report you, and not issue FPN.... unless someone knows different.... course the easiest way to keep traffic wardens away is to just simply ...shoot them
