Just some advice from you boys who have all the kit ....  :ohplease:
The tyre pressure pump that I use at work is now foooked and as usual will take ages to get repaired ... I like it and trust it as it is calibrated at source so I think now is the time to buy one myself ... I would rather spend "a bit more" and get something that will last and be decent etc so I can use it for tyre pressures on both the cars and the GTR... I have seen compressors advertised but have no idea as to what is a good make or has a good name .... could you be kind enough to point me in the right direction ?
I thank you in anticipation

Id reccomend the  Ring automotive. had mine for a few years now and when i got it The rac had just voted it product of the year. Its fairly quiet , doesnt bounce around like some do, digital guage, memory setting so it auto stops when it hits your 42psi. the adaptor is a screw fit rather than the stupid press on ones with a lever. Handy carry case.  Its fairly accurate as well.

not the cheapest at £20- £25 , but worth it

Kwikasfuki

I got one from Halfords. I think its the Michelin one.  Suits me fine

If all you require a compressor for is to blow up tyres (which is a perfectly good reason) then you really do not need to spend big money

I have a larger variety compressor only because I use it for all sorts of other tasks.

The ones that Viper and Kwikas have recommended are perfect for your needs...alternatively look here

Thank you chaps for your advice .... I have just been on Amazon and ordered the Mr Viper, Automative at £21 ... looks like it does all that I require and a lot cheaper than I had expected ! As we say in the job .. " I am obliged "

Rusty

Ps ... Ring Automotive arrived yesterday and all tyres pumped and sorted .. as you say ... easy to use and cheap. Thank you.

rippers

I got Halfords own. Sorry am i missing something, as I use the bikes own tyre pressure read out afterwards to see if I need to put more in or take some out, and have now mastered this on my drive to get it accurate first time. I go by the read out on the bike.

Rusty

No Mr Rippers you havn't missed anything ... I just wanted a pump and like you I would always trust the bike reading in the 1st instance

O.C.

Bike reading is generally quite accurate...but it wont inflate your tyres
