Has anyone done a spark plug replacement on the GTR and if so can they shed some light how to do it, please?

I fancy having a go, providing its not too complicated.

The hand book says at 7500 miles however this is not necessary. The plugs are good for 30K+ because of the type they are.
I was just curious if anyone had done a plug change but I understand it is a lengthy procedure. Not just a question of lifting the tank and removing the plugs as it was on my CB1300.

You replace the sprk plug when you do the valves. Its a nightmare getting to the spark plug so makes sense to do it when the bike is stripped

#Typical Kawasaki, the ZX12 was similarly involved IIRC

This sounds like my upcoming 7,500 mile service is going to be costly. Has anyone succesfully convinced a dealer to not change the plugs at the scheduled service?

65,000 miles now. Loving this bike.

Your standard service will definately NOT include a plug change. If you don't want the dealer to do something just tell them, they won't be offended.
