You mean you carefully removed your tracks and footprints! Now I get it.

Ok, my wife says I have to come clean. I didn't really take the GTR on a beach, that would be really daft!  :whistling:

Its a careful bit of photoshopping! I'm sure most of you realised that anyhow, apart from 100milesaway, he's 64 ya know.

:mfr_lol:

thats a very good bit of photoshopping ,fooled me  the shadows look realistic, i think the pic is real !

if you are good with the photoshop would you have made a more outrageous situation, a beach seems a bit tame.

Viper, I'm still learning how to use Photoshop. The shadow looks real because it is real, I lifted that off the original photo as well.  :mfr_lol:

There was that time when I was following my sat nav and the stupid thing though the GTR could go up a 70 degree mud track. It was a right pain to turn it around as well

The worst my sat nav ever did to me was on the way from Zeebrugge to a job interview in Luxemburg.
I suddenly found myself in the middle of Brussels and ended up being 2 hours late.
Needless to say that I didn't get the job. :embarrassed:
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

If you trust your SatNav completely you deserve everything you get.  :mfr_lol:
I trust mine about as far as I can spit it.

On a long trip I always plan the route in my head beforehand.
The SatNav is mostly useful in the towns or the last few miles of a journey.
I've followed people who spent more time watching their SatNav than the road ahead.
I've watched people try to go up muddy dirt tracks because their SatNav said so.

No more! On the bike I carry paper maps of the area I'm going to.
If something takes me off the planned route I rely on road signs and a sense of direction.
If I am still stuck, then out comes the phone and Google Maps.

Sat Nav's are the best invention since sliced bread.

O.C.

I don't need to watch mine, its easy to listen to it as I'm riding.

George makes a good point though, as I agree that anyone travelling should first research their route on a map, in order to gain some perception of where their destination is.

If you set a Sat Nav incorrectly it may well advise you to use roads/lanes that aren't appropriate, mine has never taken me down a 'farm track' that I didn't want to be on

I love my Sat Nav too ... but ALWAYS have a big map book with me when I am away ... just in case, and it's good to get that "overall picture" ...  you know what I mean.
