Just doing a bit of research on seat prices,

What would someone pay for a re upholstered seat for the GTR that looked very similair to this one , but with added high quality carbon fibre heat pads .

Ive just done this to my seat and i only use setting 1 of 5 for the heat, its that effective. I sold this seat for £170 second hand, added chip foam for more comfort but no heat pads.

Im thinking of getting some seat pans off ebay  and making some heated ones for resale. im hoping they would go for £250, some gtr seats fetch big money.

There's two going on eBay now.

I did think this myself - get Tony Archer to do the work and sell at a profit. But I'm just too lazy

Yes, I'd probably buy one

forget tony archer . Ive been phoning him every week since xmas to get my seat done and all he says is phone back next week, ive given up and found a local and cheaper guy.
Tony now also wont let you wait while he does the seat, he wants postal jobs only , which are taking three weeks or so and adds £30 to the job .
His work is fantastic , but he seems to be getting disorganised and ive heard guys are phoning him to chase their seat after 3 weeks. Tony actually said to me the other day , " ive got a pile of seats ere and dont know whos is whos "

i know , ive met him twice , when i spoke to him last week he sounded completely stressed out . He is a bit slow at posting seats back , thats why i visit, last time a I popped some covers off seats for him to give him a lift, but now he says no more " while U waits, things go wrong"

maybe hes had his day ??

Has anyone ever heard or used of a guy called Digger Seats, he's also very much in demand and produces some fine works of art.

that looks good.  :agree:

Maybe Tony Archer has become a victim of his own success... its true that a great number of complimentary things have been said about him and his work on a number of forums for quite some time now

the word has spread thanks to the t'internet

He did my seat last year; did a great job for £120. will post a picture when I get a chance. Nice fella - knows his bike seats. Loaned me a zzr seat until mine was finished. I was able to drop it off mind.

:( That's not good news as I was rather hoping he'd be able to sort out our GSA seats. He's always been a bit disorganised and I'm told the 'phone never stops ringing while he's trying to work which is a constant interruption but he's done a really good job on quite a few seats for us. Guess I need a plan 'B'.
