Nice to have a few days off now and then, and although I am not a big drinker it's nice to have a glass when you can. I am sat here with a nice deep Red Rioja, inside from the cold rain and sleet we had down here an hour ago ... In the pub ? Well if it's local then Guinness, but if I am elsewhere I like to try "their" local ale ... in the warm summer an ice cold Stella goes down well ... I suppose then that I will drink most things, not one of these chaps ( sorry if you are one ) that WONT drink beer or wont touch lager ... so come on then, tell us what your favourite tipple is ..... this is what's going down at Rustys tonight !  ;D ;D....

I'm quite partial to a drop of fine Malt, Bacardi, Red Rum, Baileys, Sambucca, Stella, Budweiser, Corona & Woodpecker Cider.....but only on special occasions.  ;)

Red wine, particularly Rioja, Guiness or real ale. Like a good Cognac or Armagnac as well, malt if its good but the good ones always costs sooo much. Don't do lager, we are not friends  :o
Once you realise we are all mad, life starts to make sense

Like red wine - but it sure as hell dont like me. Stick to low strength lagers mostly. I used to be a real ale man in my 30's - 40's but had a few bad pints and it put me off to (almost) never drink it at all anymore.

Kinda (sorta) off topic, but a few years ago I decided not to drink at all when in car or on bike (I used to be 'self limited' to two pints). But I am quite surprised at how many bikers I see on our club runs, who do drink. I never say anything cos its my choice and I am sure thy would say its within there limit (as I guess those of you here who will concur will say). ... but when you reply to whtas yr favorite tipple... maybe say whether you imbibe whilst riding?
I came, I saw, I rode off....

good point as you really can't be too careful.

I never drink the night before I am due to drive or ride and certainly never if I'm out on the bike ......(not actually riding)...... well you know what I mean.

I was stopped by the immigration guard in Rotterdam whilst riding off the ferry as he said my eyes were red,  and asked if I had been drinking on the ferry the night before...as it happened I hadn't, but I had a touch of hay fever which always makes me look a bit the worse for wear

A beer with the attributes of nectar,... only better,... and with alcohol,.... LOTS of alcohol.  ;D

If none of that is available then I'll drink most Belgian Trappist beers (not keen on Orval) or Hopback Summer Lightning.
Also partial to a fresh Green King IPA.

I'll give any alcohol a go, think it comes from my days of sailing around the world in the RN. Red or white wine, Real Ales out in pubs during the winter months, cider during the summer. Don't really do spirits unless I'm full to the gunwhales with beer  ;D

Rioja can be quite nice (I guess the 98  above might have been one of those) but I usually prefer Australian Shiraz. When it comes to whites New Zealand Chardonnay is hard to beat. I am also known to be fond of a 'wee dram' of single malt scotch especially if it comes from the Glenmorangie distillery. And if somebody mixes a proper Singapore Sling I definitely won't say No either. Beers and ciders? Czech (i.e. Budweiser Budvar) and most German lagers as well as Irish cider go down well and I have also been known to down the odd pint of Guinness.
But never if I intend riding my bike afterwards. :o
The later you brake the longer you go fast.
