All of a sudden, ebay seems to have a lot of them. Anyone got one? They come in different colours and I like the idea they are keyless but at £50 a go ..

It looks good but keyless is a "no no" for me, i do not want anybody to temper with my gas...

I'll be fitting it this weekend so will take some pics. The quality is excellent. Only let down is that the middle fully comes out, rather than having a hinge.

Here's how it looks fully assembled:

And how it looks with the cap off. Shame the cap isn't hinged to the main body

All I want to do now is take the white writing off so no one can tell how easily it can open

Mr Blek

What you have there is racing fuel cap. Turps or equivalent solvent should get the writing off

Shame Kawasaki don't have a keyless fuel tap.... they do after all have a keyless ignition...same transponder could do both.  Its a pain in the ass unplugging that dummy shaped key top open the tank  to fill up.

Are you using the key from the stove to open the fuel cap? Those are notorious for getting bent and breaking. I had a spare one cut just for the fuel cap and panniers.

The fuel cap issue is like already stated a massive oversight by the big K, all it needed was a little solenoid to lock it whilst the transponder is out of range.
This is one of the first things that sprung to my mind when I saw the key! So many times have I filled up with my gloves on because it was cold.
Gonna do like NB and get one cut, seen as tho there's already a key on the transponder for the additional topbox! Another oversight! :)
