Thomo

Hi all,

My Name is Chris and I have an 08 sliver GTR1400 with GPS Staintune pipe Vsteam screen and sheep skin cover. I live just out side of Brisbane near the Air Force Base and Im a government dog handler. I been on bikes for years and I love my 1400
I can ride all day and get off and feel good. I had a look at your web site and theres good info on it. I am also a member of the GTR site here in Aus and we often have rides on. Its just coming into summer here and the weather is perfect for riding. Even in winter we dont have to park the bikes up most of the time I still wear my summer gear.

Cheers Chris

Lonewolf

Chris, welcome to our forum. Nice looking hound you have there, is it a GSD or Belgium Shepherd or something similar? I have family out in Brisbane in the Bracken Ridge area, is that anywhere near where you are located?
I gather you've had some temperatures in the low 30's over the last few days, we're experiencing temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees at the moment so you've got it pretty cushy.  8)

Do you get out on the bike much and tour or is it just for commuting?

Hi Lonewolf, the bike is for fun I cant see the dogs name Fluffy sitting on the back as much as he would love to. He is a %100 German working line and I had him sent over as a puppy. Your family is about an hours ride from my place so I know were they are. The weather is great for riding 30 plus but being a Kiwi from New Zealand as Aussie dont really want to work I am use to riding in the snow.

Un marked dog unit dont tell any one

Welcome Thomo ....
Sadly I don't have anyone living out your neck of the woods and as I write this the wind and rain is howling outside with forecasts of snow coming down from the north soon ... it should have got to Lonewolf already ! The bike, the dogs ( I have a Welsh Border Collie ) and the warm sunny background of your photos will make us all green with envy over here !
I bet you have some lovely coastal rides out there ... look forward to seeing some more pics and general Oz input  ;D ;D

Hi Chris,
Welcome to the forum. Must be real tough having to live with 30 degree riding weather ::)
Being down here in Cornwall, we have been spared the minus temperatures the northern crew are experiencing; so far. Today we have been blessed with 54mph gusts of 'sea breeze' and horizontal rain. Not that I'm jealous or anything ;D
Your dog looks a handsome chap. We used to have a black German Shepherd and now have 2 young and bonkers English Springers.
Look forward to seeing more posts soon.

Hi Chris

Welcome

This time of year (Highlands of Scotland) our GTR is in the garage hibernating, we don't mind the cold & snow, but the ice is a stopper. 4WD until March for us now!

My daughter & fiance live in Mermaid Waters, both bikers (both Kawasaki too - BKing & Z750), we'll be over for their 'biker wedding' in 2013, 2 weeks of touring, Russell Crowe's pub is one of the trips out, a highlight I suppose?  ;D
