Pete .... get some ... I have said it a million times and they have only been on my bike a few weeks ... they is brilliant !  ;) ;)

I completely agree with Rusty, they are a great addition for the winter rider. They are so good at keeping the cold air off my hands that I can still happily use my ventilated summer gloves even now, when the temp is often 1-2 deg C in the morning.

Nice to see you (electronically) over here Bill - thanks again for your great work.

Martin.
65,000 miles now. Loving this bike.

+1 - I have heated gloves for the winter, but have hardly used them with the deflectors in place. Will be interesting over the coming few weeks if this temperature stays low to see how I get on. Except I'm in the car at the moment as I'm recovering from man flu.
Current - Kawasaki 1400 GTR
Previously - Kawasaki Versys, Honda 650 Deauville, Honda 125 Varadero

Thank you all for the kind words ;)

I just checked shipping to the UK for a single pair for another member and it runs about $10usd which would put the price at about $65usd. This includes all necessary hardware.  Currently trying to hook up with another member with an earlier model to get the templates made but has been snowing off & on for almost two weeks.  I'll let you all know when/if they are available for the earlier modes.

@Martin, check your jd-racing email when you get a minute...

Hi guys, new into this thread, i seem to be suffering cold hands these past coupla years more so than previously, probably age, blood thinned by alchohol, or maybe I'm just a wimp. Riding the gtr back from the dealer I did notice the protection was much better than previous bikes (expected I guess). But I wasnt really on it long enough for the 'chill test' . My commute M25/M40 is around about 40-50 mins - and I started feeling the cold after about 20 mins on the bm, and that was with heated grips (nice warm palms but cold fingers and thumbs), adapted hand guards, and bloody expensive winter gloves!!.
Are these really that good? If so, I will defiinitely be getting some...
I came, I saw, I rode off....

Heated gloves. First time you use them you'll know it makes sense.

I have the deflectors and find the hands get too hot now. All though the deflectors are great, they just move the problem area (if I'm being real picky). Now its my forearm that gets a bit cold, but not something I tend to notice.

I tried the EXO2 heated gloves at the NEC and whilst very hot, didn't think I could live with how thick they are.

I haven't seen the EXO ones. The Gerbing gloves are quite thick, Warm'n'Safe are thinner but no UK distributor. Thicker has some benefit if the electrics fail.

Quick tip... On the '10-'12 models if you hold the windscreen button in the up position while shutting down the ignition the windscreen will stay raised. Not claiming this is a viable solution for the cal-sci but just a helpful maintenance tip, makes it much easier to pop out the rivets or wash/wax, etc...                                                                                                                                            well "smack my arse and hand me to my mother" I did not know that :-[ and here's me! leaving the engine running to keep the screen raised when removing them pesky bugs. DOH!!! I asume of course, that this dose not knacker up the electrics or the memory function?
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Er, . . . .Went to the pub instead with my biker friend and we discussed the relative merits of sports bikes vs tourers eg gtr.  This took us 5 and a half hours, 6 Pints of Nelson, a chicken jalfrezi, 2 pints of Kingfisher and a keema nan. Not sure what the overall conclusion was . . . Any ideas?
