We'll 4 Months past on the GTR and the thing I can't come to terms with is the ugly bars, only made worse by the risers , necessary for a comfy riding position.Shame as the rest of the bike looks stunning and well styled.enjoying throwing it about after setting suspension up properly, have PCv ready to install and Dyno to smooth low down flat spot, though hesitating to spend any more money as I ain't feeling  the love.may try taking the risers off ,again, though last time it weren't too comfy,

Boomer, quick question for You, what is the Top Sellerie seat like at stopping passenger sliding forward into You.Have a standard seat but the mrs keeps sliding forward  which pushes me into tank so looking for alternative.I also have Kwak Bagster gel seat but it's lower which is no good for me, may be interested in yours if it's available, regards

Not sure if this is a coincidence, but I took the bike out tonight for a little ride out and noticed how much smoother it was when rolling on from low revs and at junctions. Not had chance to get the bike out for a few weeks, then remembered that the only thing I've done to the bike since the last time it was ridden was to replace the dirty air filter for a reusable foam pipercross one. I didn't get it for performance reasons, just for fact its reusable. Could be the best mod I've made.

thanks for the advice, the bike has just had its 7500 mile service so although I haven't checked would like to think the filter isn't dirty, perhaps I'll have all ok see, cheers

Well after 3 years I yesterday dropped the bike on my drive. Started to go off on a ride, low speed right move off my drive and felt the bike going. Stationary and leant the bike down. Some slight scuffs to the mirror and lower fairing. The pannier helped, which did not get marked. Very lucky.

The bike just became unmanageable once I had gone and moved the front wheel too far. Lucky the old plod training allowed me to just gently lean the bike down. May invest in some bobbins, but last time I enquired they were a fortune.
I have  a set of R&G type fairing guards. Supplied new with the bike by Kawasaki which I took off if Your interested, from 2011 model

I'd say change em, cos You can ! I miss changing stuff out on my GSX1400, It was modded,,a lot was just pointless bling but it was my individual choice and somehow connects You with the bike adding your own personal touches,it's good to be different

ah , the aftermarket can = poor running issues, we see this comment time after time for you chaps who are thinking of ditching the spud launcher.

ive never understood the desire to fit noisy exhausts to bikes ,  but im sure thats a minority view as nearly everybike I see has different cans
don't mind the standard can noise, but it's looks are hideous, particularly without panniers, but for me the fueling is wrong at low revs as standard.ive read lots of complaints about poor low rev power delivery and it was the only real disappointment for me after I bought the bike,if it can be improved it will be a keeper

Thanks for Your input Guys, I want to improve the power delivery below 3000 revs as it is hesitant and lumpy, compounded by the fact I've fitted a Hexacone can, though running with the baffle in place is a slight improvement.Even with the standard potato launcher I was unhappy. My experience of other bikes and the fact that manufactureres set up is more about EU emissions than optimum set up leans me towards fitting power Commander and custom map,as previous bikes.ive experienced new bikes running lean, then compounded by fitting aftermarket exhaust systems so guess the piggy bank will have to be broken one way or another.

Thanks Bryn, was wondering more specifically is there advantages / disadvantages of ECU remap over the power commander, can I assume the ECU remap fueling can be incrementally fine tuned as much as the Power Commander ?
