When i calmed down and looked at things yes on paper things look black n white "not just ink n paper" Ant, i also would say the same. But having gone through the ombudsmans web site all didn`t seem lost as they they say reasonable care, if you take your car out the garage and leave the engine running while you close the garage door and your only feet away, yet a baddy theif gets your car then you have a claim.
Also if you leave your keys in at the petrol station while paying for it !!!! Suprised me. So in a locked brick garage with an alarm. The just annoying thing is it can`t be judged by an independant body, that can`t be rite.
Anyway i may be stitched up but my point is check where you underwriters are living, don`t you get stitched too. Fortunately it wasn`t me kwaka, Id of been on crime watch by now if id lost 8Kz worth.

Im having a bad experiance, had a bike stolen Oct 2013. Phoned my broker MCE and because my stearing lock was not on claim invalid " i was honest and told them" them saying its the minimal amount of security. My reply and argument being it was in a brick garage with an alarm system "more than minimal".
Still no you can go to ombudsman, ok after 8 wks im off to ombudsman. Sorry can`t help your underwriters are Danish !!!!
Alpha, " i wasn`t aware of this MCE didn`t mention it at sale and now say they don`t need to reveal it"
So off to Danish ombudsman and guess what, because im a UK citizen and bought from a UK broker they can`t help.
Whey yi bugger im doing doughnuts "going around in circles".
Everyone knows their broker but do you know your underwriter and where they live ?
Im learning the hard way, 1st get your stearing lock on or tell lies and check your underwriter preferably before you coff up at the start. Its not over yet the big girls not yet singing.

The brokers are MCE, ins comp Alpha who turn out to be Scandanavian. The guy on the phone did mention about tellin fibs about the lock and if the bikes recoverd and proved not to be on its fraud and things get even worse.
I shan`t give up, things are coming to lite all the time and hopefully its amunition me me, im out of pocket £1500 at the mo
so what the hell.
PS cops still havn`t been any use ive had to chase them !!

General Discussion / Insurance claim being void
October 21, 2013, 06:26:29 PM
Has anyone come across this one, whilst i was away to Stafford bike show for the wk end my bike had been stolen from my
brick built, alarmd garage "not the GTR". On phoneing my insurance questions asked as they would and one was " was the steering lock on ? " No, as i have a few bikes i move them around and it is in a garage brick built and alarmed. Its not coverd.
What the ffffff, none of my friends do either, well they do now.

P.S. Northumbria police was informed at 9 am sunday and as yet i have had no corrispondense with them not even a phone call. They don`t even know the colour of the bike never mind the details. Yes ive been to the cop shop but the officer in charge finished at 5 pm today !!!!!!

Well im an EX MINER and was on strike for a year with two small children, a small mine around here employed 1000 men. With seven mines of which two were big ones thats 10,000, then you have all the timber, steel oils etc to keep them going. Now theres nothing but dole, charity shops and crime, even Northumbria water belongs to the Chinese. Well done maggie.

Ding dong the witch is dead, ive waited 28yrs for this party and im going to get arsed with all the EX miners who are left on wednesday night

Excuse me the TOONS north where your broon ale is. The north isnt owt above Watford.
My theory is from the Scottish boarder to Brighton is approx 400mls so 130mls ish below that is the north.
The next 130mls midlands therefore the last 130 must be the south.
Berwick-Carlisle to Ripon-Lancaster NORTH. Then all places below to Leicester-Wolves- Norwich MIDLANDS
and below that the SOUTH.
The middle middle is Derbyish, and by the way cloth caps and greyhounds/whippets are long gone as are the pits, thats mines
for the Southerners   :mfr_lol:

Well, instead of a tap you have to fill a barrel/bucket or but, the karcher has a suction pipe and draws the water from that. Its handy if your a distance from a tap but you still need electricary.
Extension cables easier than a hose to run out and put back but you still have to keep the water but with enough water, if airs drawn
into the pipe you have to prime it. I suppose its a good idea in some ways.

Ive just bought one from the tv, it came in a few days too. It came with all the toys and has a suction accessory so you dont need
to couple to a tap, its good but dont letit run dry cos then its a faf repriming it, £180.00 new. BARGAIN.

I agee with all the coments theres not much to worry about its just the unknown, once you`ve done it its a doddle.
There is one im not sure about and thats the speed warning on sat navs if your using sat nav, its supposed to be switched off ?
Even though i travel from northumberland i use the chunnel its so easy, as for a break, yes it only takes 30mins but by the time
you que, load, travel unload that could be an hr.
I did my first trip abroad 4yrs ago and since cant get enough, ive been over 7 times now and heading for Spain again in June
go for it and enjoy. The comment on return is my concern too, i struggle for a couple of days.
Some may disagree but in busier areas i tend to do what the locals do and follow their actions at a distance mind, with signs
and lights diff to ours you dont always have time to suss it out.

General Discussion / Re: Breakdown Cover

I too am with the AA through the bank and have been for a few yrs and found them fine, when travelling abroad i ring up and pay
about £32 for full cover. When paying for an independant breakdown cover i paid around £90, unfortunately i dont get overseas
3 times or more a year so its good value for me.

I too like you Mecki visited the Triumph shop but havent riden it yet, i quite like the look of it. I also agree with a lot of the comments
but the salesman did say you dont have to have all the toys thus reducing the price.
And if you added sum toys to the kwaka its price goes up and theres only a grandish init anyway, one ofthe main reasons i bought
my GTR was the power/acceleration as i have a blackbird too and like the 0-00000000000. Top speed isnt an issue now, wey much.
It would have to be a good ride and a better offer to make me change, Espanol here i come this yr

Been to that region a few times and its very good, id recommend it. Great roads, a go on the ring is summit else too. If you travell from the north "Rotterdam-Amsterdam" or your return north the A road from Aachem to the ring area is great and it runs almost parallel to the motorway "quickish" but tuns more fun  Im penciled in for Sept, this must be six times in three yrs, say nay more.

Id prefer the north westish, gotit in my head id like to go to Frisco. My next door neighbours from their and his brother lives their so some help could come from that point, yes its very expensive but as Rusty says a hol of a lifetime.
Another hol id like and looked up is Vegas (2 days) Howaii (5 days) Frisco (3 days) "flying" £2200, hellov a hol too at haf the price. As im an owldish factory worker i may squeeze both in before i retire unless i win the lotto.
Ive thought of buyin n selling transport before but getting rid before jumpin on the plane could be iffy unless you know someone like cog, i met someone in Florda who shipped there own bike over and that was lots cheaper.
    DECISIONS DECISIONS.
