I have a pair of ZZR1400 forks on my 2009 GTR with working valves at the caliper end. Has given some improvement to the handling but not enough to justify replacing the stock forks for this reason. My reason was because the chrome was shot and the stanchion became damaged during removal

My leaking fork seal was due to worn chrome, long story but I now have ZZR1400 forks with working compression valves at the bottom rebuilt with new stanchions by Firefox in Keighley. Didn't have any handling problems with the old forks but can feel a definite improvement with the fully adjustable new ones. Holds the line easier through bends.

After many weeks, issue now resolved. My original fork stanchions were worn out, trying to remove the caliper carrier resulted in stripping the tread, rendering them useless. Bought a pair of used ZZR forks and took them and the new stanchions to Firefox in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Andy was able to split the carriers and rebuild the forks with the compression valves working. Happy days!

Was this at Sherburn-in-Elmet? I saw someone Saturday morning on the approach bends taking pics, some great shots you've taken

Bought replacement forks but the caliper carrier at the bottom became damaged trying to get one out. It looks like it is difficult to find replacements! Are the ones on the ZZR1400 the same?

Could it be bad fuel? Not sure if that is a thing, or a blocked fuel filter.

Go for it! You can always come back and at least you will now if it suits you better!

Thank you all. I am ok with the obvious ones like this, I am worried about better skilled spammers but I now feel reassured that admin is monitoring! A few years ago I lost a computer when a link that looked like it had come from my brother downloaded a virus and locked out my hard drive!

I am a little concerned about people such as SharonRamm from Russia posting utter twaddle!

is this some attempt to get into our computers?

Can admin sort this out.

I getting worried enough to consider leaving the group as i do not understand computers enough to know mine is safe if I click a link

Went on mine to the Manchester bike show, rode there via the motorway, very nice! Came back on B roads and the A640 over the moors, what a blast and what an agile bike! I know it isn't a sports bike but it is sport enough for me!

Cannot find the post on here that directed readers to the option to buy the above plate, but thank you, just fitted mine and very pleased.

Good write up in this months Ride magazine for the Versys. I'll be keeping my GTR though.
