Spammers

[Tregosy]

I am a little concerned about people such as SharonRamm from Russia posting utter twaddle!

is this some attempt to get into our computers?

Can admin sort this out.

I getting worried enough to consider leaving the group as i do not understand computers enough to know mine is safe if I click a link

Did you report the posts?
Yes, I did.
If in doubt, never click any link.

Just don't click on any links unless you can see it is by an obvious member of the forum.

There is far too much help, advice and knowledge on here to leave due to some lonely Russia lady looking for her next conquest

They're coming thick and fast at the moment these spammers but thankfully we are banning them as soon as they join. 😁

If you click on their name to the left of their post, it takes you to their stats/info page.
If the have only just registered, only made one post or have posted very close to their register time/date then beware.
Most genuine members will say a hello in the introductions section before posting elsewhere.

Thank you all. I am ok with the obvious ones like this, I am worried about better skilled spammers but I now feel reassured that admin is monitoring! A few years ago I lost a computer when a link that looked like it had come from my brother downloaded a virus and locked out my hard drive!

You and your brother need to keep away from these "PORN" sites.

  Fair point well made!

They come in spurts on our forum.  I use the sword on them if I get to them first.
