I got some Strobe lights off fleabay ready to mount under my mirrors for NEG.
As you can see, they are a nice size compared to a CD

Nice template Debs
Did you make it from a cornflake packet ?
I still think further to our recent conversation on this subject that they would look good under the air intake below the headlight unit IMO
Yes the template was made out a cereal box.
As I explained on the phone. I think they will look better under the mirrors.

I've never had any grumbles about rear strobes. They are very useful on open road sportif events too.
Where did you get the pole?
So, am I guessing this right, Lara Fabian makes and sells the lights to supplement her 'singing' career?

I replaced my indicators with hideaway strobes.

That way, I can have my strobes completely hidden until I turn them on and get brighter indicators as well
Phil how did you do that?
Does it replace the existing bulb?
It does. It's not an easy job as it needs to take power from the indicator feed and then an additional feed for when you need everything on and then a diode to make sure the indicators can still work indipendantly. You also need a control switch as you need to put the strobes to solid for use as indicators and be legal (for the MOT at least) and then flash patterns for when they are used as strobes. I have to create a parallel wiring loom to control them so it's a big and complex job.
However, I am selling my GTR with it all installed (and headlamp flasher, rear red, siren) as well as cruise control so it might just be easier to buy mine
Siren?
The making of the brackets.
I ordered a 12" piece of 3"x3" aluminium angle for this project.

Hi Debs
If you want to make two more of them brackets , I will buy you a drink.
I had two small brackets on my old GTr mounted them with pop rivets into the bottom of the mirror.
Was thinking of using double sided body tape this time to save drilling new bike.
see if I can find pics of my old lights

Chris, the aluminium was £8.75.
Once I have drilled the mounting holes I will fit them before painting to get some pics. If you like what you see, I can make you a set if you pay for the aluminium.

Yamhon, if you want to supply the ally, use her time to manufacture you a set and then post them I think you should offer her at least £30 and that's cheap, something like that would cost a whole lot more if a bespoke company produced them.

Chris you can buy these off me. I will make more for myself in the next few weeks.
Regarding where to run the wire, you have a choice.
You can either drill one small hole under the mirror mount and run the wire through the inside, or you will need to find a way around the outside. I have already pre drilled the hole should you wish to go through the inside.
Sold the brackets to Chris.

I wont be making anymore as it's very time consuming, and would mean using the rear of my bike as a bench to cut the brackets which would mean taking the rear ones back off.
If I had a garage with a bench then I would, as I could make a full set in a day
