Doing the latter.  Don't travel on holidays if I can help it.  I plan to eat and drink until New Years Day...

We are heading north to Harrogate to my Sisters on Xmas Day morning.
Family Xmas with both my parents and both my sisters plus families.
Will be fun and chaos but have my earplugs.
Then home for a week of quiet and weather permitting my first ride on a motorcycle in ages.  :biker3:

Doing my usual "tour of duty" i.e. visiting family all over the place so 2 days travelling, being offered drinks - "No I can't, I'm driving" - ending up at the in-laws :death: Christmas Eve where I plan to stay in a permanent alcoholic blur until Boxing Day.

Merry Christmas one and all

Cheers

Xmas meal at my daughters house for the first time ever , quite a milestone when we have been the supplier of xmas day function since she was born. We tend not to do too much over xmas as we both have had mad demanding jobs and are usually too knackered
Most years we take in a scotland trip right after new years for a few days and this year we will keep up the tradition by taking the full fat up to the cairngorms and praying for some deep snow .

In case I forget, which I am apt to do over the holidays, wishing you all a wonderful Christmas time from the States.  I'll be making sausage rolls.  Haven't even tried to make tarts or mincemeat pies.  Mom used to make those and she was very particular and secretive in the recipes.  And I never thought to ask her how and now it's much too late...

Love your loved ones whilst there here...

Best to use 50% butter and 50% Lard Animal fat.. If they turn out too sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar that goes into the mix.
They will come out really yummy

And then Bullitt.  I watch that just for the cars.  They used the same ones throughout the movie.  The fastback Mustang isn't bad either.  Coming home today I saw a restored one....beautiful.

That's a great film Debs and always good to watch, I recorded Kelly's Heroes a few weeks ago so that will be on our things to watch.

Then there's 'Downton Abbey', Christmas 'Strictly  comes Dancing' and for Gill a Christmas 'Call the Midwife'
