In case I forget, which I am apt to do over the holidays, wishing you all a wonderful Christmas time from the States.  I'll be making sausage rolls.  Haven't even tried to make tarts or mincemeat pies.  Mom used to make those and she was very particular and secretive in the recipes.  And I never thought to ask her how and now it's much too late...

Love your loved ones whilst there here...

Best to use 50% butter and 50% Lard Animal fat.. If they turn out too sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar that goes into the mix.
They will come out really yummy

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

Thanks, Debs.  I'll let you know how they turn out.  I'm making 40 sausage rolls and there won't be any leftovers.

I had Christmas dinner today with my flat mate and her bf..

I'm glad I only have to cook so much once a year. It was so yummy too..

Christmas day will be spent watching tele. I may even dig out The Great Escape DVD.  :mfr_lol:

And then Bullitt.  I watch that just for the cars.  They used the same ones throughout the movie.  The fastback Mustang isn't bad either.  Coming home today I saw a restored one....beautiful.

Then there's 'Downton Abbey', Christmas 'Strictly  comes Dancing' and for Gill a Christmas 'Call the Midwife'
