Its surprising how much wine is now bottled with screw tops, apparently nothing from the quality is lost by bottling in this way, I even got a bottle of my favourite Chablis with a screw to only this week, :yes:

Wasn't there also a method of opening a bottle of wine with a length of knotted string, the secret being to get the knotted end past the cork and then pull it out
I've never tried it as I've never been that desperate for a glass of wine :mfr_lol:
If I tried this technique, I'd end up smashing the bottle and filling my shoe with wine.
