A bit too far away for me, but it's a great and worthy cause which I'm sure will be well supported

Pics of the event would be good

No afraid not due to other commitments ... hope you enjoy and I have no doubt it will be very well attended.
On a similar theme, I tried to get some more "Help for Heroes" T shirts for work ..... sold out at the moment ... there has been a rush in orders since Woolwich.

Just got some more bits from Help The Heroes. After the Woolwich murder their site was so busy, it was repeatedly crashing, and their stocks levels were very low due to high demand. Good to see that the majority of the British public are showing their support in an appropriate manner.

OC will post some pics afterwards.

On the 6th October the Ride to the Wall is taking place, looks very impressive, maybe a few of us could attend that one. I'll be there. I will post about that nearer the time though.   http://www.rttw.org/

Pete

I'll keep an eye out, looks like there will be 1000's of us though.

Do you have to be ex services to join the RBLR??

No mate - just prepared to aid the RBL :) I'm not ex-services but a lot of my friends are (and I still talk to them)
about £18 a tear and you get access to all of the Legion bars in the UK and their cheaper prices.

Let me know if you can't get to the membership form and I will download and PM it to you....

Just got a day pass so I'll be there.
Also intent to do the RTTW again this year. Very moving event and should be supported by as many on here as possible.
Who knows may even make it to Hoggin' the Bridge this year.

I've been a couple of times and found each visit to be very moving. I took the below photo in 2009 and to this day it still strikes a chord because of the enormity of loss of life.

Just thought I would post a few pics from yesterday's ride. Great day out although sobering as these events usually are, but very important to support.

Gathering of the "troops" at Cambridge services.

It's good to see that so many people wanted to pay their respects in this way, thanks for sharing.

TBH I never even knew that this memorial (Madingley) even existed in the U.K  :embarrassed:

I can only echo what Gonome says, it was a great day, very well organised.

Very sobering, but good to see that level of support, and that there are still many people out there that still care, and are determined not to forget the sacrifice people make to maintain our freedom.

I will certainly be at the Ride to the Wall in October.

Gonome, it was good to meet you.

OC, well worth a visit if you are in the area. SB, good to meet you too and thanks for the chat. Look forward to seeing you on the RTTW. Did you find out who was on the Silver GTR? Did not see PCPete's green one either although he was due to attend.
