From their website
http://www.rainx.com/tips-information/faqs/
Here's a few links I have found of Salclear that may do the job....

http://www.visorclear.com/prod%20info.htm

Here's another make...

Warm soapy water is normally your best bet.
Thanks Debs
Must admit I've used it myself on my visor with no problems, never used it on the screen though.
I think they don't recommend using it on visors because you may get a slight rainbow effect looking through it at night in the rain with oncoming headlights but it doesn't cause me any safety concern and I haven't noticed any chemical reaction with the acrylic visor.
I sometimes see the same slight rainbow through the car windscreen if the conditions are right and it doesn't effect safety there.
I clean my visor & screen with Windolene and Ive never had a problem
Does anyone wear glasses and tried using the 'pinlock' thing on a shoei helmet at night in the rain? :censored: :shit: :hammer:
Yes and I don't recall any problems

I've been using rainx on my screen and visor weekly for 3 - 4 years and no issues so far :-)
I would avoid Rain-Ex on lexan or acrylic etc plastics such as visors/screens.
Chemicals in it can weaken structure and whilst they may appear OK can become brittle and may shatter if impacted with something - will seem OK until exposed to extreme trauma (large sharp piece of gravel for example)
If you just want to clean bugs off your visor, then I'd recommend this -> http://www.visorvision.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=22
It's amazing how easily it removes dead bugs. Each sponge lasts a few months with care, just don't squeeze them out.
As long as your visor doesn't have an external anti-fog coating you'll be fine.
I also clean my visors and screens with Windowlene (the green spray stuff).
It does the job and only struggles to remove the hardests most baked on bug-guts.
For that I use Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover.
I tried Rain-X before but found it to be only marginally effective and then only for a little while.
As soon as you start wiping your visor with your glove it's gone.
The best thing I found years ago was a glove with a built in wiper blade on the thumb.
Have not managed to find a glove with one since.
I hate the ones you fit over the glove as they restrict the flexibility of the thumb.

I agree, chemicals on visors could make them very brittle.
I find the best way to get rid of the most stubborn stuck on bugs is to wet a couple of sheets of kitchen towel, lay them over the visor for a few mins, give it a wipe, and hey presto. No bugs, cheap and effective

Rukka Apollo Gloves have one built into the left thumb
Very nice, stupidly expensive and don't even come close to my glove size (XXXXL).
Yes. Yes. And I believe so....

Oh I don't doubt either of you.
I've found a pair in Germany in 13/4XL or 14/5XL but I will want to try them on before paying nearly £140 with delivery.
The palm measurement method doesn't work for me as I have a 25cm/10" palm circumference which would normally be an XL glove, but I have extremely long fingers which dictate getting large 3XLs or 4XLs. In fact the only part of me that I can buy a normal sized item for,.... is my head. Helmet size Medium 57/58.
So, any ideas where I can try on a pair of 3XL, 4XL and 5XLs? :mfr_lol:
Yep,
Harpers Race Shop, London Road, Leigh on Sea, are Revit suppliers, one of the main ones in the UK I believe. They will probably be able to get the size you need, to try them, give them a call on 01702 482016. I've used them many times and have always been very pleased with their service,
Regards
SB
Will do. Ahhhh, right next to Machine Mart.
A pair of these may have to be a Birthday Pressie to myself. :innocent:

Boomer, have you tried JTS (www.jtsbikerclothing.com (http://www.jtsbikerclothing.com))? I know you buy your boots from them and they advertise gloves up to 4XL.

And my jacket, trousers, summer & winter gloves (lobster-claws).
I can get 4XL gloves without too much difficulty but finding one with the built in visor wipe is the hard part.
My current summer gloves came from JTS and are the previous model to their 212.
They are at least 6 years old, have faded from black to grey, but are the comfiest gloves I have ever owned.
Paid £20 for them at the 2007 NEC Motorcycle show.
