what is the best way to keep all the plastic clean ?   ---- ( and the windscreen too without causing scratches ?)

I just use PLENTY of soap and water, then lots of wax polish afterwards.  ;D

Same as you 100 - I also use Autoglym showroom polish, which brings it up well.

Best stuff I have used recently though is SDoc100 gel.  Superb stuff!

so - autoglym polish on the plastics as well as the bodywork ??  I thought that kind of polish normally stained plastics ?
I've used mr sheen in the past but wondered if there was something better and more specific to the plastics on the bike (ie panier sides, plastic around console and fuel tank etc..)

- - anything specific for the screen apart from a very soft sponge and a chamois ? ?

Hans

Plexus... and Plexus... and Plexus..... :)
Cheers,

TBH I use the Autoglym ordinary polish on the screen too!

Screen is pretty tough and the finish / quality is excellent - hardly any scratches in 24k.  I just use a 'yellow' sponge from Poundland to wash bike with.

Cleaning - what's that?????

I tend to spray the bike with Muck Off diluted with water, then plenty of car shampoo and a sponge. Afterwards I tend to use Autoglym High Resin Polish which is very quick and easy to apply - it has a good sheen to it and lasts a while which minimises the amount of cleaning that needs to be done next time round.

There are only solutions

You're right mr Minnion  Mr sheen is as good as all that fancy stuff with a flash name. Plenty of soap & water, leather off , then attack with the mr Sheen = mint bike.

I recall the days I used to be into cleaning cars and bikes. Even purchased one of those electric buffing kits.

Now I just let the mud stick  :)

Yea yea ... Auto Glym the screen ... apart from a minor French stone chip it's like new after 8000 miles ... Auto Glym and ACF50 are the way forward ... especially with winter fast approaching.

I use that ICE stuff tis the bollox on a black 'un....either that or mr Sheen  ;)......

Funny story about Mr Sheen, i saw the rep on the Autoglym stand at the NEC using it (Mr Sheen) to clean the finger marks off of the display bikes....he didn't half look embarresed when we pointed and laughed  ;D
