A lot of showstaff are brought in just for the show, they are usually trained in the model range etc but have no interest in complaints. The only way to complain is through customer service, even then its a lottery.

And you paid how much admission for this?
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

Oh Lord .... arn't they lovely ? I am not a Ducati fan but because I am an understanding sort of chap and like to listen to all sides of the story about bikes and R+D and consider everything there is to know... I feel a trip to the Ducati stand will only be the right thing to do....  ;D
Interesting comment Mark ... I had a letter from K UK that I shall take with me and it was all about renewing my membership and not much else ! ... let's wait and see ... up there in the morning for the full day .... Meeting up with Monsieur Wolf. Update to follow ..............

Aye, that's what it felt like. There's were a lot of people trying out the GTR. They were asking alot of questions which the staff just couldn't answer.   I should have taken some cards with this websites address on them.

Manufactures pay focus groups a fortune for research. Why, when you can use the Internet as a tool and find out what gripes existing owners have. And not having specialist staff at a main show is inexcusable. People aren't just there to have a gander - its an ideal sales platform. I've already Googled for a few bikes that caught my eye at the show.

I'm heading down on Wednesday if anyone else is going to be there. I'm already a riders club member - I'm sure they'll pester me to renew at the show to get a free mug or something. Amusingly, my wife just signed up (so I could get her into the early entry as well) a couple of weeks ago and they have already sent out a things saying she can renew at the show!
Current - Kawasaki 1400 GTR
Previously - Kawasaki Versys, Honda 650 Deauville, Honda 125 Varadero

Well Rusty and I went to the exhibition today, (Monday 21st) and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with it. Plenty of stalls, displays and of course bikes!

First things first, we hunted out the German inferior piece of shit technology that is the new BMW.

One hell of a beast & anybody who owns one is one lucky individual.  8)

A large indoor arena for a spot of dirt biking.

A vast selection of machines.

Some weird concept bikes.

Somebody having some fun.

Is it a car, is  it a bike, what is it?

One of the promo girls.

A crazy competition......you'll have to go to see what it's all about.

This would fit in perfectly with some of my 'customers' in Halifax. A bit of bling.  8)

Some crazy guy, possibly care in the community grinning like a Cheshire cat and pulling daft faces.

Over to the Kawasaki stand.

This girl was absolutely stunning.

Rusty trying out a GS.

I will one day own one of these. £20k for the Goldwing.

£25k for the V Max. Not sure how Yamaha can justify that.  :o

Another babe.  ;)  Not sure what that blokes looking at ::)

The sign of the beast.

Something for the kids.

Carole Nash promo girls.

Another weird concept bike.

Police FJR.

Nick Sanders had a stand there with his R1 and support vehicle. I ended up buying some DVD's and a book which hopefully I will get a chance to watch & read over the next couple of weeks.

These bikes have to be an acquired taste..... ???

Rusty

Well as you can see myself and Mr Wolf had a great time ... brilliant pictures  ! I didn't think it was too busy either, perhaps being a Monday a lot of people are going at the end of the week who knows.
No doubt though if you are after some kit, you may not get a fantastic price ( perhaps on the last day ) but there was a huge amount of choice of just everything bike related.
£19 to get in, £1 cloakroom, £4 brochure , and I thought decent food/coffee/beer etc.. all very clean and tidy.
It has certainly improved over the last few years and I would urge you to get along and have a really good day out.   ;D

Did you guys purchase anything?
