while waiting for the MOT to be done on my GTR, i was looking at there 2nd hand bike's, one stood out !!! a very tidy SUSUKI GSX 1400, with a few extra's fitted, blue braided brake hose's, oxford heated grip's, it has the original silencers fitted, it's a 2002 model in blue & white, with 29,290 miles on the clock, i'm so tempted, i have a 15 plate triumph thruxton with only 6,300 on the clock, i don't honestly find it that comfortable to ride, i traded in a yamaha xjr1300 for the triumph, regretted it ever since, the GSX 1400 will be serviced, a new MOT with 12 month's warranty.i'm going along the line's of trading in the triumph on the GSX 1400, would i be silly even thinking about this !!!

It depends on what they are asking for the bike. The GSX 1400, CB 1300's and XJR 1300's seem to hold their value quite well in the used market if they are in good condition. I had two CB 1300's a naked and a sport model, awesome bikes. I also had a Y reg XJR 1300, no complaints from me with either of them.

If the triumph is not doing it for you and uncomfortable why not 👍.
I love the old muscle bikes 👍

£4995, i've looked on eBay & autotrader, it look's like a competitive price.

I'd go for it, although it is worth looking round to see if there is a cheaper on on offer.

If I was told I could only keep one of my four bikes the GSX1400 is the one I would keep - it does everything reasonably well, comfortable and powerful.

It will take you across Europe if you want, here's where I have been on mine:

The do seem to hold thier value, mime was £5800 brand new over 17 years ago.

Personally I'd still call the dealership and ask them if it has been provisionally sold. If so, inform them that you are interested in it and if the sale falls through etc, can they call you?
