Just thought I would say Hello, having just found the site and having owned my GTR for nearly a year now with nearly 3000 miles on the clock, its one of the best bikes I have owned if not the Best !!!

I live in the West Yorkshire area and if anybody fancies a ride out get in touch, I normally get out most weekends work/weather permitting .

Bye for now

Hi and welcome to the forum.

There's a few members that live in West Yorkshire including myself. Lonewolf is always up for a ride, and, barring parental responsibilities, so am I.

3000 miles in a year?! You need to get out more, done that in the first 6 weeks, I'm sure they're are some local folk to get out with.

Hi Cartman
The 3000 miles I have done are on the GTR, I do own another motorcycle in which I ride more frequently here in the uk and on continental trips last year was the Grossglockner Pass and this year its oft to Luxemburg and the Black Forrest area of Germany. Maybe I do need to get out more ?. I will ask the wife !!!!  ;D

Cheers :)

Sidders, hi and welcome to the forum. Out of interest do you by any chance live in Ackworth?

Rusty

God !! Not another Northerner  ;D ;D
Welcome Sidders .. this is a great place with lots of chat and " goings on " etc .. bet you have great roads up there in Yorkshire, and now with the Gtr you can make the most of them !

Boomer

Grossglockner is stunning but suffers from far too many bloody coaches and camper vans crawling up the switchbacks on the northern side.
Once ya get to the high point of the pass, the road down to the glacier and from there south into the next valley is a hoot with minimal traffic.
Just make sure yer travel/bike/life insurances are all up to date as if you are pushing and you get it wrong,..... well,...you will have time to phone all 3 insurance companies before you slide screaming into heaven/hell on a trashed motorcycle!  :o

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

sidders1400
