Hi all

Quick one - when connecting the battery with a permanent tail for an optimate is it best to remove the battery and connect directly to the terminals or can you use the jump terminals on the right side of the bike as an alternative ?

Thanks in advance!

Boomer

I would wire directly to the battery, but fit an inline fuse.
That way if the lead gets shorted you won't get a battery fire.
I use a cigarette lighter socket for my Optimate wired directly to the battery via a 10Amp fuse.

Yep, exactly as George says, just don't expect to use the accessory socket fitted to your bike as it wont work
