Issue when turning GTR off

A friend of mine has a 2011 GTR and when he turns the bike off his dash lights flash and needles on the clocks go around, my GTR does this when I turn it on but not when I turn it off.
Has anyone else experienced this before ?

Sounds like the ignition switch needs cleaning or replacing. When he turns it off it is disconnecting and reconnecting momentarily.
