A few years ago I sold a couple of classic motorbikes to a guy from France, I had checked him out beforehand and he was above board.

He paid me cash for the bikes with €500 notes    I didn't even know a note of such high value existed and had obviously never seen them before.

He drove away with my beautiful bikes in his trailer, I didn't sleep much that night until the banks opened the next morning.....thankfully all was well, but I don't mind admitting that I was sh☆tting myself overnight    :sweatdrop:    :sweatdrop:    .

Drug dealers love £500 euro notes , a million pounds can fit in a small case ideal for big deals ,,so I am told ,,

I had a 500 euro note in my pocket when I went to the Picos a couple of years ago. Everywhere I tried to use it either could'nt or would'nt change it. I ended up changing it at the bureau on the ferry home. Imagine trying to change a £500 note if such a thing were to exist.

Shops by me won't even risk changing a £50 note never mind a 500 one  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Beware. I believe they are withdrawing the €500 note soon.
