Hi folks, picked up my  GTR yesterday. Awesome bike, but I am a little confused by the KTRC. Did a search but couldn't find an answer so apologies for being dumb...lol. user manual is hopeless.

When you turn the ignition on the KTRC light is flashing this I assume is default and it tells me it's on? If I turn KTRC off the light stays on?

The light then goes off when riding. With KTRC selected on, I assume any activation of the system brings the light back on to tell you it's kicked in?

If anyone could confirm or correct my assumptions, would be appreciated.

As I understand it....turn her on....hold the KTRC button for a couple of sec, then it's on...but you have to do this every time you stop/start otherwise the system is not on.....now watch I bet I'm doing it wrong...

The KTRC indicator light is displayed when the KTRC function is turned off.

When the KTRC is operating the indicator light flashes quickly, and the message 'KTRC working' is displayed in the multifunction meter.

When the motorcycle is off, turning the ignition key to the ON position automatically engages the KTRC function.

The KTRC system will automatically set itself when the vehicle speed is above 3mph.

The first three are direct quotes from the owners manual. So icefever you have it the wrong way round.

I don't get a message in the multi display saying it's working either and my handbook doesn't mention display messages, later model ????

There is a difference between 'working' and 'operating'

Operating [ i.e stopping your wheel spinning] is when the light flashes and the screen display operates

Working is when it is turned on.
Sadly they chose 'working' not 'operating' for the screen display.

Oh, and page 161 in my owners handbook.

Kwack14. I think your are correct.Default is flashing light with ignition on then will go out when the wheel sensors have registered working.solid light is off.when button held and can only be switched at a stand still or back to default when ignition off.dont know if the light goes out when moving .TBH ive never needed to switch off.

Kwack14

That is the way I am understanding it wildybeast.

The main thing to remember is that by default it is turned on each time the bike is started, unless you turn it off.
