Come the summer before my Spanish trip I am going to need new front disks, I know original Kawasaki ones are a ridiculous price so what's the flavour of the month to purchase?

I sort of remember Asif getting some cheap Chinese ones from eBay, but what have you purchased recently and can recommend?

My original ones have done best part of 30k with regular bobbin cleaning etc.

Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.
Previous, Sprint ST (2), VFR 800, Fireblade's (4) SP1, VTR1000, GPZ900, CB250, BSA Bantam D14/4, Suzuki TS100, SX200.

I also bought a pair of front discs from China, via eBay. Can't fault them so far, but I've only put about 1000 miles on them to date.

Cheers

I don't know if Brembo make bike discs, but the ones I've fitted to my Volvo are superb.
If they do I'd have no hesitation in trying them.

Unless you can be 100% sure that cheap discs will work reliably don't buy them, would you really risk your life for the sake of say a couple of hundred quid ??  when I had to replace the discs on my zzr I didn't even entertain cheap or original, I gave Wal at PFM a call and got some top class brakes  :biker3: yes they're not cheap but they're bloody top brakes, and when it comes to brakes and the need to stop safely and sometimes quicker than I'd wanted too I want to know that I'm going to stop, not wether the cheap chinese brakes are going to let me down

If you plan ahead brakes are not that necessary.

I agree.  Brakes are totally overrated. :mfr_lol:
