There has, and there always will be at this time of year been some really wet weather about to test all our kit in one way or another ... well I just thought I would promote this stuff, which I have been putting on my boots for years ...
I imagine it's just the same as Dubbin or Nickwax etc but it really has been very good. I first came across it when it was supplied by ALTBERG in a new pair of motorcycle boots and have used it ever since. Just rub it in with a soft cloth, no need to polish and away you go.
A few days ago in some very heavy rain I was the only one in a group of 9 that came through the morning with dry feet ...  ;D
Just wanted to let you all know of this great stuff !

You can get it from Alt-Berg Boots - http://www.altberg.co.uk/Web/ledergris.jsp

Thanks Master .... get some Mr Wolf you wont regret it, I use it all year round, every month slap some on !

I can honestly say I've never used anything like that on my bike boots, in fact I've never protected them with anything, I feel ashamed now and dirty ;D

pembsgtr

altberg are probably not that far from you Mr Wolf they are in Richmond  N Yorks, surely an excuse for a ride out into the countryside to purchase a tin  ;D ;D

Rusty

Feeling Ashamed AND Dirty Mr Wolf ? And so you should ..  ;D

fatharry

I tend not to proof my boots...have a 4yr old pair Oxtars that have never leaked...and i use them year round!!  never once cleaned them either...they just work!! ;D
It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

I had a bad episode once after polishing my work boots, apparantly you dont polish PSU boots cause polish is flammable and when you get petrol bombed as you do during the training your boots tend to catch fire, as mine did ;D Oops!

Basics Mr Wolf !  ;D

They were dull black, I was trying to make them look smart by bulling them up. How was I to know?  ;D

Rusty

I suppose you pour petrol on your BBQ too  ;D

Lonewolf

I can't afford a BBQ living up North, I've only just got a colour Telly.

routemaster

Don't give me that - I know you pretend to live in a cardboard box and only have a colour TV and a whippet  >:( but I have seen the 10 bed country estate, the swimming pool, the sauna, the Merc's, the.............................  ;) ;) ;)
