You know, one of the things I'm struggling to adjust to on this bike (comimg from a ZZR) is having to look through the screen as opposed to over it.

For this reason I tend to ride with the screen down every where.

Also, the movement of the screen while in the raised position freaks my chicken a bit!

Silly I know. I'll get used to it I'm sure.

Nice Vstream btw
GT pack, Puig dark tint touring screen, Zumo 660, road Angel, Drift Ghost S HD cameras + remotes X 4, i phone 5s plus mount, Interphone 5 comms.

Out today with the V stream fitted. A road and M/way running.
Had it set at eye level so I could just look over the top. Wind was just glancing over the top of my helmet, very comfortable. Set fully up sat in a pocket of dead air easily able to lift my visor at M/way speed's. Didn't experience any back pressure when moving the screen up.
Don't get me wrong, it's not entirely silent unless fully raised, but I generally don't like riding looking through the screen, so just over the top is fine, still some wind noise, (but you are on a motorbike  :whistling:).
It is longer than the stock screen so you don't have to raise it very much to achieve the correct level. Didn't experience any noticeable buffeting so it's a keeper for me.
It still moves about at speed, but no more than the stock screen. As with everything, horses for courses.
XJ600, VFR800, CBR1100, Varadero1000, CBR1100, STX1300, GTR1400 ?

+1 pilot..  I would need an extra 1" to ride in still air, but it's far better than the stock screen.

I expect we could all use an extra 1"

I've just been lent a Vstream to try, which is great since I dont have any cash until the end of the month. The first thing I've noticed is that its not a direct fitting on the 2016/17 model, the addition of the middle vent whenever that happened means I will need extra parts to make it all fit on my model.

I've now ordered the screen 2 x covers, 2 x rubber mounts from a 2010 model, I'm hoping the existing bolts will be fine, the hole alignment is fine as I tested that but  will need those parts above.

Worth bearing in mind if your looking to put this screen on a 2016+ Model (Or before perhaps)

Should have thew parts next week.

V stream fitted straight onto my 2010.

V stream fitted straight onto my 2010.

Thats the issue, from 2015 the mounts appear to have changed to include the vent, this then means thew vertical covers on each side dont exist.

I've ordered some off a 2010 model to test.

Is it quiet? and how tall are you Tay?
I have bought a 1400gtr so I can open the throttle and spin the world

Managed to pick up the parts on Tuesday,  only managed to fit them last night.

The 2010 parts fit like a dream on the '17, so now the Vstream is fitted and looks the biz.  £28 quid for the parts from Kawasaki.

I'm 6'3", hope to get out on the bike tomorrow to test it out cuz I'm shattered now.   Compared witht he std screen the Vstream has around 2-3 inches at the top, hopefully that'll make the difference.

I'm 6' 2" and mine is still not high enough for me... :undecided:  but back when I had a 1000 GTR I added a small strip across the top and that did the job.

What I'm looking to do will use the old Kwaka screen...I offered it up on top of the V stream, the curve of both screens are almost identical...as you would expect.  :whistling:

I marked a line with a marker pen on the old one at about 2"......using a jig saw I'll cut across, clamp the two together and drill a couple of holes.
I've got some small stainless bolts, maybe find a dome nut to fit and try it out...it worked a treat on the 1000.

I want to get it done asap....we're away this bank hols.....so will have to wait until the end of next week.

Del, one's height obviously is a factor when considering a screen, but it also has a lot to do with whether the bike has been fitted with handle bar risers and/or pullbacks.
That will affect the head position within the aerodynamics and wind pattern.
So a shorter rider sitting up more with risers will need something as high if not higher than a tall rider in the stock position.

For me its much better than the original.
I also like the look of it too, the 2010 screen covers and the rubber mounts did the trick.

Only complaint I have is that it does tend to flex a bit, the original one did it too but not quite as much.
