Whilst collecting my GTR from that garage after a major service, the shop owner told me that as of 2017 the GTR will no longer be in production....I'm gutted to say the least!
Can anyone shed any light?

Cheers Tim.

If that's the case then it's sad, it's the best bike I have ever had and the comparison FJR which a mate has is in his words is sometimes hard work due to the vibration in the handlebars, as for others I don't like the Trophy so what does that leave us with?.

Oh well this will have to last longer then.
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.
Previous, Sprint ST (2), VFR 800, Fireblade's (4) SP1, VTR1000, GPZ900, CB250, BSA Bantam D14/4, Suzuki TS100, SX200.

It's a shame of course but it wasn't updated to be euro4 compliant which all new bikes should be as of 2017. So do the math...

It's only here and Euro .
As stated it's the Euro4 emissions mr K hasn't been interested probably the cost.
It's been launched across the pond in a blue colour so I am reliably informed on the concours / GTR facebook site.

yes, its no secret, the dreaded Euro 4 emissions requirements have doomed our beloved GTR,

But its not a problem, just keep riding your current GTR

I had been wondering how Euro 4 will affect other 1400/1441 engines, what will become of the ZZR 1441 ?

We buy our GTR blood bikes direct from Kawasaki UK and they are usually ex police demo's with about 4,000 miles on them. About 6 months ago we ordered and paid for one which was then, due to a mix up, sold to someone else. Kawasaki had nothing else due to come back from demo but to keep good will offered to convert a new bike to spec for us. It turned up a couple of weeks ago and it is in the blue colour. Fairly dark, almost grey. Everyone has remarked how nice it looks.

The bright side is that due to lack of a newer version, the current one doesn't devaluate as much... 😀

It's fairly common knowledge it was discussed on an earlier thread.
