The GTR will be back sometime as already said i wouldn't be surprised if the drawings are already done and possibly Some parts patented and being tested as we speak. IMHO i think supercharging will be the next generation with a lower capacity engine but similar output as now. Would also have the added benefit of less weight ( hopefully circa 230 - 250kg ).

As for power i would certainly trade a few horsepower for additional Torque

get a grip and deal with it

PRD

May be but that is the way I think the big K will view it.
BMW = Bring More Wallet

 :agree: with scenario too .. it all comes down to the end cost to the consumer .. is it better to up size the motor .. or downsize and super/turbo it .. however a lean burn 1400 with a supercharger would be BLOODY AWESOME .. ah wanna one a wanna one pleeeeeez  :banana: :banana: :clap:

Surely they just keep going with the Versys 1000. That will do anything a Gtr will do in the real world. Not as nice but good enough.

I owned a generation one Versys 1000 , its a very fine bike, but it's not a GTR

At least with a super charger you get torque from the off and thats what i like low end torque. Like an electric bike its on tap instantly. Your right my son drives a one litre turbo fiesta and it is punchy for sure. So a one litre supercharged gtr mmmmm loving the idea must say. What say you wook?
Baby blade ,rt1100,CB1300 and the best yet gtr1400 😁😁😁👌
It's all in the wrist you know 😏😏👀

 :devil: :devil: A 1.4 ltr would be better  :banana: no turbo ( too much lag for a bike) but one muvva  of a supercharger  :smartass:

Macskwak

Well thats right lol. For me a supercharger is the way to go on future bikes. Its fuel efficient its torque on tap and it only requires small engine sizes for good power and performance. No brainer really 😋👍

Surely the  current ZZR 1400 engine (1441 cc) would be suitable, with maybe some mods to provide a more touring orientated power delivery, it would probably need a revised Cat also

The latest 1441 engine is already Euro 4 compliant  :clap:

The zzr 1441 is ideal for touring but is better suited to the shorter rider the seat height is only 800mm.. taller riders will feel cramped on the zzr  on long rides. you can lower the pegs and fit bar raisers and a tall screen which will help with comfort. but the zzr is a hyper tourer and will never match the gtr for comfort :no: but kawasaki GTR was very popular and was a good seller for kawasaki can't see kawasaki pulling the plug and being with out a big tourer in the market :nono: most likely will use the zzr1441 engine and change the gearing for purpose.

p.s TIP..  instead of buying one rear tyre get 2 you will need it :mfr_lol:
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff
