As planned tour of Pyrenees fell apart, Brittany Ferries suggest to save loosing deposit have a small break in France!
So not to loose monies, just had 4 days B&B in Brittany - followed Seine to Giverny, numerous ferry crossings, fantastic - what a venue!
Roads, folk, fodder, views and weather all pleasant.
As B&B / drive every day, bit of a BSA for me and SWMBO, think seat foams collapsing!
After changing the air filter, up to 54mpg average, all 2 up and loaded panniers / Maxia top box.
Best was the last night at Chateaux Quinville, 30 mins from Cherbourg near Utah beach, ok,  room was basic but venue excellent, and classic car run from Belgium turned up, great stuff!
Bit of a bargain when booked with Brittany Ferries!     £620 for crossings (bike, 2 adults) cabin out, and 4 nights B&B for us both.
Recent investment in Halvarsson kit, Daytona Boots, Rukka gloves all tested to the max on the run home from Portsmouth on Friday!
Why is it always so dammed depressing getting back on the British roads after the continent! Weather and traffic!
Few pics, not brilliant as all on phone but captures memories! Nextbase Ride Cam failed big time to capture ride, really miffed!
Now to clean the beast and start planning for next year!

Yep, pic is of the lilly ponds, Monets' estate, found the cottage great, garden too busy - too many plants, but the stream / lilly ponds fantastic, we arrived late so it was fairly quiet.
First time visit to Bayeux, tapestry fantastic, and the audio tour certainly gave you an alternate view on "King" Harold! Best history lesson ever! Great town and buildings.
There's a museum on the Normandy landings, deffo next time will see that.
Best bit for me was following the Seine, roads superb, villages stunning, and all the ferries, good times.
Normandy beaches.....hmmmm....such beauty considering whats gone before......will have to go back when feeling less sombre!   :undecided:
Always driven through or by Normandy, needs to be explored more, and the Cherbourg / Portsmouth fast ferry was great for getting there - or back in our case!
