They certainly can't spell or write in English very well.  Ought to be a law against that.

Debs, This bike actually belonged to Devon Freewheelers and was our first GTR blood bike purchased direct from Kawasaki, It was an EX Police demo bike. We have since bought 4 more of these and thanks to a donation we are waiting for another one to become available.
Recognisable by "working in partnership with South West Ambulance Service" on the rear hump. That is on there as about a dozen of us are First Responders for SWAST and respond when out on the bikes.

It came to grief when one of the new riders broke down on it. Even though he was told 3 times to use the recovery card he decided to recover it himself on a totally unsuitable trailer. The inevitable happened when he took a right hand corner at speed and threw the thing down the road. As he was using equipment from his own motorcycle repair garage we went after his insurance company to cover the loss. I believe this was settled recently. We tried to buy the scrapped bike bike but were turned down.

Ahhh make sense now Mo..

You can still buy it for parts

Does the guy who totalled it still volunteer for freewheelers?

Too far away to drag it back here.

I am an area coordinater and a trustee and wanted him gone. He's a horrible bugger anyway. His own coordinater fought his corner and he is still with us. I don't need to have much to do with him. I spend most of my time now keeping the Dorset Air Ambulance supplied with blood. A service that we started about 6 weeks ago.

Copied from the notes of the NABB AGM
The new Yamaha FJ blood bikes were there for a press release, photos attached. These are fitted with 2 box racks and have been tested and approved by Yamaha and Met Police as suitable for high speed use. NABB are in talks with BMW for the same approval for the 1200's and 800's.
It seems Yamaha have seen a good PR/advertising opportunity. I guess any blood bike group looking for Section 19 exemptions will look to using bikes that have been approved.

The racks on our GTR's have been tested and approved by Kawasaki at 145 mph but are only single box
The Decals were on when purchased but we have other vehicles done at Bluelite Graphics'
The FJR certainly seems to be the possible future Standard
