A couple of weeks ago I had a wee jaunt up to Scotland for the day. A 552 mile round trip but as always well worth the effort. I went to Luss which is on the west side of Loch Lomond & then up to Tarbet, A85, A84 towards Callander and then down to Balloch at the bottom of the Loch before heading home. The weather was great and here's a few photos from the trip to wet your appetite if you've never been that far North.

Loch Lomond

Two very protective parents.

The pier at Luss

Tour boats.

Some chap admiring the view and soaking up the atmosphere.

Ah, to be in love.

A few shots of the cottages in Luss.

Possibly the local residents do bite.

Some more lucky BMW riders who made the effort.

One of the Cafe's at Luss

I then went over to Loch Long where the Village Inn is, Charlie and I are booked in here for a couple of nights in July on our Scottish trip.

Looks a really nice place.

As I was riding up the West side of Loch Lomond I came across a scenic trail with falls, I didn't fancy a lengthy walk in scorching heat in all the bike gear but I took a quick photo of one of the views.

Coming back down the East side of Loch Lomond I stopped to admire the views.

For anyone who has never ventured to Scotland....you need to experience it, you won't be disappointed.

Wolf, the white dog behind bars is a Samoyed, I've had two of those beautiful dogs, despite being from the Husky family they'd just lick you to death unless you're a rat ! they're wonderful ratters.

I miss my big boy Lancer, had him put down aged 16 in the mid nineties and still think about him lots.  (we have 4 cats, feckin useless animals  :2guns: :mfr_lol:)

Sorry I got carried away................................................brilliant pictures as usual  :biker3:

You need to go up the a9 to John o'groats, the scenery and roads are amazing, once past Inverness the road is usually quite and very little police

Lonewolf

Funny you should mention that....there's a couple of us heading to Loch Lomond Isle of Skye and John O'Groats next month.

I tend to go to JOG via Lairg and Tongue.
