Top Gear re-appeared on BBC 2 last night...eagerly awaited, much anticipated, the huge worldwide show that was.

Well we watched it and I must say that by and large it was okay, bearing in mind it was the first show

I don't mind Chris Evans, and admire where he's got in life, starting with nothing. As far as TG goes, liked the change to the racetrack format, but thought the trip to Blackpool in the reliants a little pointless.

always been a real big fan of top gear with Clarkson & co (love him or hate him)   i cant stand evans,so far up his own arse...i never watched it and for some reason i have no intention of wanting to watch it with evans on it.just my opinion.

Where do you start, Evans was in a no win situation.

Show should have had at least changed some of the format, without trying to copy (Word for word) everything JC did.

Evans needs make the show his own, not try to copy JC.   Best bit of the show was with the Sabine.....  she's just so un-PC - no wonder JC and her didn't get along...... Always wondered why she never really appeared again - too much competition for JC.

as for the addictiveness of the show - could take it or leave it now.  I know its the first one, but hope Sabine gets more airtime - I would definitely watch it more!
