Autocom wiring

I am looking to connect my OLD autocom active duo to the GTR  will I have to connect the red lead to the  tail light feed as on all my other bikes and then the negative lead to the battery terminal, or is there some other way? ie could I use the accessories socket?.    cheers Geoff ;D

Wire it into the accessories lead under the rear tail unit.
