Had a short run out today to this place....http://lordstones.com/

Chop Gate in North Yorkshire. First time I've been since it's changed hands and the new owners appear to have spent a fortune on it and it's terrific now.

A few photos, apologies, some of them have photos of a BMW in them and for Neils sake, please if you quote any of the thread, delete the photos of the bike. :whistling:

Somewhere near Thirsk this unusual building and clock tower which was visible from the dual carriageway caught my eye so I had to stop and take a look.

I've seen Nigel take shots like this so I thought I'd have a go. Don't worry, I've blurred the bike out.

This 'sculpture' was in the pub car park opposite, bit unusual so I thought it was worthy of a pic.

No words needed.

Welcome to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

The roads were snow clear but it was still around in places.

Stand by, stand by, another BMW shot.

Parked up, not a big fan of gravel but it was solid enough.

Judging by the ice on the table I'll be eating inside, me thinks!

Welcome to Lord Stones Cafe.

A small portion of the restaurant.

The next two photos are for Charlie.

An adequate menu, they cater for breakfasts and lunch, but serve food till 5pm.

Watching the comings and goings whilst waiting for my grub.

What do I drink Nigel?

And finally, I'm a happy chappy, the grub has arrived.

Dog friendly, as are most places in the country up North.

Plenty of outdoor seating.

Good job I didn't have killer Milo the Cocker Spaniel with me.

Lovely clear skies.

On route back home I stopped at Knaresborough when this caught my eye at the side of Old Mother Shipton's place.

Al in all not a bad day out. A solo trip, everyone no doubt was at work. Perhaps if anyone fancies having a ride out to Lord Stones at some time they could get in touch. It's well worth a visit.

I don't know why more of us don't carry a camera and record our trips. It's good to recap and see where you've been over the years.

Debs

It's still out there Steve and has just be taxed for 12 months.

I love photography but I tend to use my mobile and Facebook to do this

Thanks Debs, that's reassuring to know it's still being used.

Tend not to be pics of the bike!

Will post some from work later in the season when I'm tour guiding in Europe.  Will make sure I put plenty on from Garmisch-Partenkirschen -   BMW Motorrad Days :innocent:
