Looks like V-Stream, Cee Baileys and Calsci all make large screens for the GTR - all the usual suspects!

Débs - I hear you've been in to Moore Speed Racing today... First though, how did the test go?

Debs

OK here we go Bill... I have been to look at the bike today and it's really nice even though it is a CAT D. That was because of the cosmetic damage due to the previous owner dropping it at very low speed.. . I have taken quite a few pics for you but you do really need to come and see it.. I would have it if I was looking for one.

Slightly ripped seat on the nearside front.

The seat is lovely and squashy

As you can see the crack isn't that bad.

Slight scuff mark on lens.

Cracked right hand belly pan.

The darker blue is where it has been respray. Front right hand side of the nose cone.

Slight crack to offside lower fairing panel

Good tyres.

Lovely exhaust..

Dash

Sat Nav mount..

Carbon Fibre Hugger..

Nice and clean

Lots of paperwork..

I think you should seriously think of coming to look at this bike..

I didn't take it out for a ride but the guys said it rides lovely, which I bet it does.

:censored: , I didn't know it had all that damage. Seriously dude, don't touch it with a barge pole! You can do a lot better for your money.

As it's a Cat D, if and when you ever want to sell, nobody will touch it. It's older than mine was when I sold it, the mileage is much higher than mine was and it has well over a grands worth of damage to put right. Mine went for £7k.

If the dealer fully repaired it and sold it for £6k that would make the deal a tad sweeter but personally I'd never buy a Cat D, or anything else which had been thrown down the road. My opinion only though for what it's worth, oh and while I've got your attention Debs, congratulations on passing the IAM.

I understand...

Thank you Steve.. I didn't get a 1st but will work on that over the coming year and try again next year..

Getting a 1st isn't the bee all and end all. Improving your riding ability, improving safety and your attitude to others is what it's about in my book.

Billabong

Whether to buy a Cat D bike or not is an interesting one. I'll have to give that some thought and also check with my insurance company as I've been told they may well bump the premium...  :censored:

I think it's still worth a look though so I may well drive down there tomorrow and go for a test ride in the sunshine

Debs

Let me know if you come down Bill and I will pop out and meet you there.

Will do. Will drive down as I can't bear the noise from my bike anymore!
