Thank's for the advise, Tried most of the above but kept away from chemicals as they can leach the resins from the plastic and leave them a real mess. Must admit i have thought of painting and it would seem to be the best bet so far. Anyone used plastikote ?

Plastic is an old based product. The Whitstable Ness is the oil content depleting.
A number oil might do, I just know ACF50 does, as I use it regularly on plastics, regardless of there state..

Done back to black / Dashboard shine / WD 40, all good but fade after a few days, i need something that removes the polish not mask's it. I had a PM from another forum member who said Baby wipes will do the job, so weather permitting tomorrow i am going to give it a go, its about the only thing i have not tried on plastics. However i do use them to clean my leathers and they come up a treat.
get a grip and deal with it

Tried baby wipes, no good, however another other forum user suggested using an eraser, i thought he was taking the PI** he sent me some info. i decided to give it a go after raiding the grand kids colouring box we keep for them when they visit /sleep over i found one. After a dozen or so rubs Hey Presto!!  streaks gone! took me a couple of hours to remove and then Back to Black the plastics now look like new again, i'll have to be more careful when applying the polish in future around the plastics maybe B2B first. I will also have to replace the eraser as i used the majority of it.

Zed maybe now is the time to av em off and paint n laquer them. Itll make them so much easier to clean n polish. Did mine a little while ago in satin black and they came up great and clean up real nice n shiny. 👍😁

Couldn't agree more but a lot of work removing the bits and making sure i dont break the clips etc, i maybe do it sometime when the weather is better and i have a free weekend.
