What is the best method you know of getting Black Plastics Trims back to original condition once polish has got on them and gives white streaks etc. I polish my Van regularly and the various trims have white streaks on them i have used all sorts of stuff to try and remove the streaks good old elbow grease works best but a real PITA to do.

Zed i actually sprayed mine with silk matt auto paint and laquered them after. You wouldnt know they were done but are so much easier to keep clean and they always stay black. Just a bit of mr sheen n job done 👍😃

You could try some white spirit on a cloth

Then use Autoglym show shine aerosol which will not leave a residue on black plastic areas, its not the cheapest but it is good, i used it for years on my classic show bikes, I know others use products like Mr Sheen and apparently thats good too

New one on me...looks good,

The video clip shows it being used on helmets too, TBH I would be unsure about that

I use Amourall, looks great when applied, though you may have to re apply after each wash.

Works for me, used for years

remember seeing something on one of the science type shows a couple of years ago where a company in Oxford was using "nano" tech to waterproof phones (or any other electrical equipment or clothing) and there's also self cleaning paint for commercial buildings

I haven't used that product but am familiar with Eastwood.  I've bought quite a few things from them directly over the years..but not enough lately as they've stopped sending me their catalog.

Thank's for the advise, Tried most of the above but kept away from chemicals as they can leach the resins from the plastic and leave them a real mess. Must admit i have thought of painting and it would seem to be the best bet so far. Anyone used plastikote ?
