Hi Guys,

I experience quite annoying thing - when it rains a lot - I get fogged mirrors from the engine breathing at them. Do you experience that too? Any advice how to get rid of it? I tried anti-fog paste designed for helmets but it did not help much. When I swipe it with my glove, it is there back in a few seconds. This happens as the bike does not move in the traffic jam and it rained on it an hour or so (I parked it in the town, no cover) or continues to rain.

Thanks!

Boomer

Clean mirrors with pink Windowlene. Then polish with microfibre, apply wax and polish again. Avoid wiping the mirrors with yer gloves.

Two things I don't understand......

Stuck in a traffic jam....
Riding a GTR......

Am I missing something?

Ha ha, yes, I know, but I take it to town too. Some parts of Dublin city centre get jammed, then it's OK

I'm looking at buying at GTR my worry is (apart from the wind noise 40+mph) is the filtering capability. I'm used to the bars being the widest part of my bike and i use them like a cat uses it's whiskers

how do you find it?

Hi I've never had an issue with filtering on the GTR but then I came to it from a 1800 Goldwing so anything is narrower :) I use the M25 very regularly and have had no issues and lost no mirrors either.

Excellent tourer for Europe holidays with the speed for fun as well, can highly recommend it.

On my 2008/9 the wing mirrors are wider than the panniers not much but enough I use them like you state like whiskers.

I ride the M25 every day and filtering is easy on the 1400. The mirrors touch first and fold in. Mine are a bit scratched and battered but not been broken in 7 years and 64k miles.

Ditto, when I do filter the mirrors are the benchmark. Once you get used to the width of the bike, filtering is no problem whatsoever.

Yes slightly mate - does make it a lot easier to judge when on the move

Dublin, that explains why it rains a lot  over here in the east it's much drier.  :punk:
