That switch gear is much more aesthetically pleasing then the other one.

:agree:

As Debs says she, Charlie and I spent a good few hours fitting this, reading the manual, double checking what we were doing and agreeing before going on, now we have done one and Debs will have sorted out the one issue I reckon you could do one in four hours tops.

It's a well built system and it fits exactly how it is supposed to, if you want to spend the cash then this is the mutts nuts.

Aside from what you get in the kit we used some extra cable ties, a little bit of clear plastic pipe, a bit of rubber from the bottom of a toolbox, a bit of black paint to repainted the left clutch handle mounting bracket which has to be reduced by approx 1mm and copperslipp on the fixing bolts.

So just to be 100% sorted that's the extra's plus coffee, no tea required as Debs brings her own fruity stuff.

On a more serious note once fitted is it removable if you upgrade to a newer model

Yes it is, the wiring loom is plug and play so you would have to undo it simply and put it back, you have to bend (yes bend) one bracket away out of place but you could easily bring that back again but to be honest you could do without the bracket as it only holds a connector.

I reckon just over an hour to remove plus fairing fitting.

Thanks for that Alan.
I am still thinking about fitting one and as I said if you change the bike it's a quick removal.

You would need to ask MCCruise if the 2009 would fit the 2010+.

I don't think it will as there are 2 different order forms.

2009 or older.

2010-

I've been debating about pulling the trigger on one of these too DB, how many hours would you estimate the install took?  :undecided:

Looks great BTW, factory fit!

It all depends ZG. There were 3 of us and it was like the blind leading the blind. I would say it took about 5 hours to fit but then we didn't know how to set it up.

I could now fit and set one up all on my own in about 3 to 4 hours.

Good to hear, like Debs now having fitted one four hours would be the target, if there was two of you then less as one could be trimming the clutch bracket and suchlike while the other feeds stuff through holes. I would say it's a two person job no matter what even just to drop lubricant down the throttle cables.
