It enables you to maintain a fixed road speed which brings the benefits of increased fuel economy, no prizes for driving style, a more relaxed body and mind to look for potential hazards to name but a few benefits.

:agree:

Well done Viper. I didn't want the audiovox type.

Bloody hell!  How much??

I fitted the Audiovox - about £140 and a day in the garage.

Work perfectly.

This was my set up

Well done to you and anyone else who fitted the Audiovox. As I said, I didn't want that type.

what did you find was the difference between the mc and the audiovox when you did your research, you are a smart girl and im sure you investigated them both , what made you plump for the mc, curious as I never considered that one

looking forward to the install

Winston Smith

I was wondering the same?

Until Debs condescendance  :mfr_lol:

If you think I have come across as condescending then you couldn't be further from the truth. Im not like that.

We all have our own opinions why we choose certain types of extras for our bikes.

It's about time some of you respected that!

Debs - I was piss-taking, hence the  :mfr_lol:

Hi Debs,
I don't think anyone was having a pop at you for getting it, just curious why you went for that one over the others available. We all know you as a smart cookie  :smartass: and know you would've done your research on all the systems available. So, is one a vacuum unit, one electronic, or cable controlled, advantages/disadvantages etc etc. We're all looking forward to your install and pics.

PS, you need to give a bold warning in the subject line when you are spending money like that  :sweatdrop:  :sweatdrop: .......... rumour has it that people from Yorkshire read this you know, and that could cause serious health problems when they suddenly reach over to check the rusty padlock(s)? on their wallets  :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:  :mfr_lol:

Well done Debs, yes it's not cheap but you will  be disappointed. I too researched a lot before committing and it's the best on the market by a long shot - of course it should be for the price! Here's some pics of the setup on my '12 model. Left side - The electronics fit just nicely in front of the glove compartment. Right side is the vacuum servo and cylinder. I didn't fit myself (had it fitted at Dale McLean Motorcycle Electronics - DMME, Swansea NSW), but I watched closely! most tricky part is the throttle cable retractor (sorry, no pics of this). Important to get just the right amount of play, and keep the cables lightly oiled... Wiring is a breeze, everything just fits perfectly with no cutting or crimping into the wiring loom required. And then it's all   when you're on a long ride... You do a few of these 500+ mile days and you wonder why you never invested before.
My list of things I've added to the bike - The MC Cruise, TopBlock tip-over protectors, RG saddle bag protectors, a Fuzeblock, UHF radio (currently running on Sena Bluetooth but not happy with it, will replace with Starcom Digital soon) and of course Zumo 660 GPS. TechSpec pannier protectors, and my seat has been re-shaped by MJM in Goulburn NSW (near Canberra). SWMBO decided I didnt need the seat done, until her first long weekend ride on it convinced her it's better than the original. And of course a taller touring screen by Cee Bailey.

Cruise Control is now fitted thanks to Charlie and Big Alan for helping me.

We were unable to get in to the diagnostics as we didn't have a clue where we had gone wrong. Came home on baby without a problem.

Emailed MCCruise to see if they could help. Got a phone call at 9am this morning from Austrailia. It was Tony the owner to help me sort it.

Found out that 2 wires that go to the front brake switch were on the wrong connectors. Got that sorted by swapping them around and now I can get to the setup. Tony is going to call me later tonight to talk me through the setup. He said it does not cost him to call and will talk me through it all.

This is what I call service..

Cruise Control is now fitted...

That switch gear is much more aesthetically pleasing then the other one.
