Silver wheels are faster.  It's been proven.

As we say in Yorkshire......Bollocks.

My GTR1000 has black wheels, 178,000 miles on the clock and is 25 years old.
Today it blew past a K1600GT, a ZZR1400, a Ducati Panigale and several other slow motorcycles.
I put it down to the black wheels.   :punk:

Not my fault they can't filter (laneshare for the 'Merkins") worth a damn.
I just wish they would get out of the way when filtering,... and leave the bloody panniers at home if yer gonna be filtering.
Bloody K1600GT is as wide as a Ford Focus with the panniers on.

Sunny weather is here again and the bike park is full of bikes again.

If the wheels were to be swapped, the TPS would need to be swapped and at the same time, the tyres.

Would the rotors need to be swapped?

If they weren't, would you need to change pads?

If they were swapped, would the exisiting pads be ok?

When I changed the black ones (model 2010) for the silver ones from a model 2009... abs didn`t work... but after check... the abs-disc has more holes in the new model....  so you have to change the abs-disc also if the models are not equal

Good luck:-)

I don't think we will need to do that beegee. Thanks anyway.

Check out the wheels on my R1 piccy. Done myself over one winter. The ally was absolute mirror polished.
Thought about doing it to the GTR when I get time. Would compliment my magnesium grey quite a lot methinks!
