Is there anyone on here who knows anything about how to obtain accurate measurements of the boundary's of your land? I have the deeds to my house and it gives me a general overview of the shape of my garden and plot but no measurements.

This info is needed urgently to avoid me killing my neighbour!!  ;D

You can see samples to see if they give you what you want. Put your house number and postcode in first

Yeah, I've got a document which shows an ariel view, I need something which tells me in feet and inches from my house wall where my fence should be. Then I can ram it down the throat of the guy who lives me behind me and his obnoxious Son and get them off my back!! >:(

What's the exact dispute?

Ha, where do I start??  ;D
It would be easier to show you rather than try and explain. Ive drawn a plan and converted it into a PDF file, who knows how to now link it to the thread, cause I dont.  ::)

Thanks for that, it took some sorting but here it is. Basically I wanted to move my bottom fence so that it was level with the boundary wall running from the front of my neighbours garage to the top of his drive. I believe it is my land upto the point where it would intersect with his fence, not right upto his garage.
He agreed days ago and we split the gap 50/50 more or less. I've had a builder in today putting a new wall up between my house and that of my neighbour on my right as you look down the garden. Thankfully there has only been a few bricks cemented in because the Son of the  neighbour at the bottom of the garden isnt happy regardless of what his Dad said and his Son wants me to reducethe length of my wall now so that it doesnt encroach as far inbto his Dads drive, 18 months his father has been nagging me to move my bottom fence to close the gap up.

Tricky one that. You would need to look at the exact boundary of your land. I would say that considering the partial fence exists its likely that that is the boundary marker but with these things you can never be sure.

You might want to read this: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_family/home_and_neighbourhood_index_ew/problems_where_you_live_index_ew/neighbour_disputes.htm

and then give these chaps a call: http://www.rics.org/site/scripts/documents_info.aspx?categoryID=241&documentID=105&pageNumber=3

Land Registry Documents
Not all titles contain registered documents, but where they do, they often go into detail, listing all of the rights, covenants and easements affecting the property, and usually include detailed maps and plans, often to scale and often with dimensions.
