Which is why I find it amazing that the womens team aren't finalists - I mean what mucky cows they must be to live with if they can't even sweep properly...
Four is fun.  Six is sex.

Don't get me wrong - I quite like the curling.  But.....sometimes it seems the BBC broadcasts nothing but!

In Canada they have tv channels showing 36 hr of curling EVERY DAY.. God luck meeting them in the final. Sweden got China for the bronzematch. Wonder if they got the concept of brooms or if they use chopsticks there too.

Curling is actually quite addictive to watch, in moderate doses  :embarrassed:

but did you see the men's ski cross final?

Total carnage :)

any thing from the winter Olympics ..even curling... is better than the juvenilistic sounding, and seemingly ill-informed commentators on the various "slope-style" events!

"But like snowsurfing is like so RAD dude. Snatching a grind off the back of a Joe Kick is like ultra-grungy!"
And people complain about having to talk to Indian call centres. At least they are trying to speak the same language as you.
And no, I don't want to learn the language to be able to watch 10 minutes every 4 years.
I work in medical software support and I can use Jargon with the best of them, but I also have the ability to simplify things and explain them in plain English.
Any commentator who can't do that as well as behave in a professional manner, shouldn't be working as a commentator.

George, I have a brilliant idea.....for the next winter Olympics they should employ your services as a non jargonistic plain speaking commentator, it would be fantastic to hear your dulcet tones ~  explaining why a half pipe ski crosser who is prostrate and writhing in agony clutching his balls, is actually doing so

Now that would make the event really worth watching.............how about it then, are you up for it,...you certainly get my vote

It would be fun to do but I don't pretend to be a pro-commentator, even if I do have an Essex tinged Middle England accent.
My problem would be I'd get banned for saying something like
"Now why did that stupid  :censored: do that? It's obvious to me that if you hit the edge of the half-pipe that hard you board will snap and you will get to do the splits so wide that your gentlemans vegetables will need a loud-hailer to talk to each other. Somebody stuff some snow down his kecks to reduce the swelling."

Of course he didn't. If he did he'd be in hospital.
