Took the Beemer over to Asif's today for him to peruse, he seemed to like it.  :whistling:  I think?

Oh, and then I spent quite a bit of time cleaning all the salt off the bugger.

Lovely bike. Lots of toys on it

Just fitted a new larger screen to try easy peasy 4 screws.
I noticed on the oem screen there are rubbers fixed to the underside of the screen is this for vibration .
As on the one I have fitted there is none  are they easy to purchase from a kwaka dealer .

Update purchased them today from Cradley Kawasaki. 2 of each top and bottom.

Replaced my Regulator/Rectifier
Bit of a mare getting the old one off without dismantling the backend. Fail

Took the head off one of the rectifier bolts as it was corroded solid.
Exhaust off, hugger off, left passenger peg and preload adjuster off. All so I could spin the rectifier with bolt to get it off.

Using the bike as a commuter for work.  Rode to work, worked, gassed it up and rode home in traffic.  Love the bike, even in heavy traffic. tp

Bump started the bike as nothing was happening on the button.
Will investigate tomorrow.

Pulled the starter relay today. Pretty sure it shouldn't look like this.

And it's that astute observation which allowed you to qualify within a month to be a DR. I think you have diagnosed correctly DR Dave.  :mfr_lol:

Yesterday I rode the 1400 to work, & thrashed it home.  :punk:
Today I rode the 1000.
Tomorrow working from home because the damn French need support. ;-)
Saturday, fitting new spots to the 1000 and maybe a new rear tyre for the 1400.

A little bit of riding around King George county VA and then changing the oil, oil filter, and rear drive oil..

Update:  Whilst doing this I did knock over my beer.  Wasn't happy over that.

Since you ride both, what is your opinion on the similarities /differences between them.  1000's can be bought pretty cheap over here.  I've thought about adding one to the garage, but have read negative reports on vibes, heat, ergos, etc.  Would like to hear what you think.  tomp  Texas USA
