I picked my bike up after its 24000 mile service including valve shim checking. It needed 8 valve shims and new plugs. I saw the old ones and they did look rather tired.  Also disc pads all round ,various filters etc. and all this for a mere £697. Xmas is on hold!

not such a bad price considering,

very surprised that you needed any shims after 24k miles , but hey ho

All one can do is trust the tech to be honest, or watch him measure each valve.  If you are happy and don't feel taken advantage of, then all is good for many more miles to come... tp

I'm happy I trust them. And a lot cheaper than changing bike which I'm happy with.

 .... If you are happy with the bike then the cost is not so important .. just enjoy it and keep smiling !

Its not the Big Blue but it's by the same company. Made in UK by Quasar Industries.

I like the concept but it's a bit pricey for me at the moment.

I've always been put off getting a disc lock as I hear too many stories like that. Gutted for you Debs, at least it didn't take out the brake callipers
